Sun. Apr 11 (3 pm) — Historic Port Leon Tour
Join Ranger Andy Edel for a guided walk through the old ghost town site of Port Leon where he'll describe the town — its birth, life and death five years later. Space is limited, call (850)925–6121 to register. Afterwards, continue to the City of St. Marks for a program on the veranda of Shields Marina. [More Info]

Sat. Apr 24 (9 am – ) — Spring Wildflower Walk
We are having a most spectacular spring! Dr. Loran Anderson, retired FSU Botanist (awesome!), will lead our spring wildflower walk on Sat. April 24 at 9 am from the Visitor Center. Come enjoy the flowers, and then, head to the lighthouse for the open house! Space is limited, so please call (850)925–6121 for your reservations.

Sat. Apr 24 & Sun. Apr. 25 (10 am – 5 pm) — Florida Big Bend Lighthouse Mini–Challenge
Visit and/or climb all four of the Big Bend Lighthouses — Cape San Blas, Cape St. George, Crooked River, Cape San Blas and of course St. Marks. St. Marks Lighthouse will be open for visitors; interpretive exhibits and family activities. Apr. 24 is Florida Lighthouse Day.

Theme: Celebrate Earth Day. Bring your family anytime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to learn about Fantastic Flowers.

Seminoles in Everglades
Sat. May 1 (10 am – 3 pm) — Reading in the Refuge
She Sang Promise: The Story of Betty Mae Jumper, Seminole Tribal Leader by Jan Godown Annino.
She Sang Promise and Scenic Driving Florida, also by the author, will be for sale in the Visitor Center Book Store. Children will be encouraged to read excerpts from books available in the Visitor Center Book Store (or bring a favorite from home). There will also be Seminole artifacts on display, children's hands-on-activities, and pumpkin bread. Meet at Visitor Center.

Kids Fishing Clinic
Sat. May 8 (11 am – 2 pm) — Free Kids' Fishing Clinic
Wooley Park, Panacea, FL. Ages 4-15. Free rods and reels to the first 500 kids. Sponsored by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Fish Florida, St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, St. Marks Refuge Association and Wakulla County. May 12 – Jul. 26 — Florida Landscapes and Wildlife
gallery show at the Tallahassee Senior Center. Featuring photographs taken by the St. Marks Photo Club. This is a juried event.
