First Sundays at the Refuge
Meet at 2:00 p.m. in the Education Building next to the Visitor Center
St. Marks Photo Club
Meets on the third Saturday of every month at 9:00 a.m. Call the Refuge at 850-925-6121 for information.
Tots on Trails (preschool)
This short ranger-led program meets on the second Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m. Group size is limited.  Call the Refuge at (850) 925-6121 to sign up.


JANUARY, 2018

Monday, January 1 – Birding and Wildlife Observation —9:00 a.m. to noon.  Join Matt and Cindi Johnstone for a behind the gates wagon tour.  Seating is limited.  Call (850) 925-6121 to register.

Sunday, January 7—First Sunday on the Refuge – The extinct town of Port Leon with Ken Clineman.  The program takes a casual look at the history of Port Leon.  2:00 p.m. in the Education Center.  Weather permitting, a wagon tour to Port Leon follows the program.  Reservations are required for the wagon tour.  Call (850) 925-6121 to register. 

Monday, January 8 – Birding and Wildlife Observation —9:00 a.m. to noon.  Join Matt and Cyndi Johnstone for a behind the gates wagon tour.  Seating is limited.  Call (850 )925-6121 to register.

Thursday, January 11 – Tots on Trails -- 11:00 a.m. - noon.  Meet at the Education Center for a 45-minute walk and hands-on outdoor activities for pre-school children and caregivers. Bring a water bottle.  Limited to 10 children.  Call (850) 925-6121 for reservations.

Saturday, January 13 – Winter Birding Tours – 9:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.  Join Naturalist Don Morrow for a behind the gates tour.  Meet at the Visitor Center parking lot.  Reservations are required.  Call (850) 925-6121 to reserve a space.

Monday, January 15 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Fee Free

Saturday, January 20 – St. Marks Photo Club – Open to all with an interest in nature photography.  9:00 a.m. in Nature’s Classroom.

Sunday, January 21 – Wildlife Photography e-Tram Tour – 1:00 p.m.  Limited to 10 participants.  Reservations are required.  Call (850) 925-6121 to register.
