Fishing and Hunting

Fishing

Fishing is allowed in all Refuge waters, and also out in Apalachee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Access is from the Refuge's saltwater boat ramp, or ramps elsewhere along the coast. Fishing regulations enforced on the Refuge are the same as those established by the State of Florida. However, crabbing is prohibited on the Refuge because of past problems with habituation of alligators.

Hunting

See the Refuge's Hunt Brochure for all regulations and information about hunting on the Refuge.
