 Visitor Center

The Visitor Center at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge is located at 1255 Lighthouse Road (map).  It is open from 8 until 4 on weekdays and 10 until 5 on weekends—every day except Christmas Day and the phone number is 850-925-6121.

The Visitor Center should be your first stop whether you’re visiting the refuge for the first time or you are a regular visitor; it’s a great source of information. You can view educational displays, learn about what you can see and do on the refuge, obtain maps and informational brochures, sign up for activities and tours that require registration, obtain helpful hints on current wildlife sightings, and purchase federal entrance passes. The Visitor Center relies heavily on volunteers to provide these services.

The Visitor Center also houses the Friends of St. Marks Wildlife Refuge Nature Store and all profits support St. Marks NWR. Some products are also available to order online from the Nature Store.
